CLSTranslate is a service of plain query translation: user requests are issued to our query specialized translation service, and the corresponding query in the languages of interest is returned. So, basically it takes in input a string plus (possibly) a language code and returns a structured object representing possible alternative translations, together with their quality and confidence index. It is an optimal solution for customers that already have their own search engine and are planning to provide their users with the cross-lingual experience without changing it.
Query translation is enhanced by our proprietary technology of LSA based semantic disambiguation, and it provides optimal results on short texts such as queries, where traditional machine translation solutions fail, due to lack of syntax.
In order to improve the quality of the translation, specific domain dictionaries provided by the customer can be integrated in the standard service.
